for International Students and Staff Members (TAMK, TUT, UTA)
at Tampere University of Technology
4.12.2014 at 6 - 8 pm
We are pleased to welcome you to the Independence Day Reception of UNIPOLI Tampere network! This reception is organised to celebrate Finland's Independence Day, which is celebrated officially on the 6th of December, as Finland was declared independent on that day in 1917.
All international students and staff members of TUT, UTA and TAMK are warmly welcome to the Great Hall of the Festia building (Festian iso sali, Korkeakoulunkatu 8) at Tampere University of Technology on Thursday the 4th of December. The programme starts at 18:00.
Independence Day in Finland is traditionally celebrated in a respectful and formal manner. During the reception we will hear some descriptions of Finland as an independent country, as well as how our country seems through the eyes of a foreigner. Cultural programme with Finnish music will also be included. At the end of the reception participants can also take a Finland-inspired photo in our photo-booth, and a light buffet dinner is served in the Festia Hall.
To help us reserve the correct amount of food to be served, please sign up
to the reception using this form. Please sign up on Thursday 20.11.2014 at the latest.
The event is formal, but the dress code is free.
