Are there any indigenous people in Finland? What is so special about Finnish schools? Why are the Finns so silent? (Or are they?) And who on Earth was Urho Kekkonen?

Finnish Society and Culture (1-5 ECTS)

The course is specifically designed for international students who wish to know more about how Finland works. The main purpose is to introduce the students to the society and culture of contemporary Finland.

The course is intended for all international students (both degree and exchange students) at Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK), Tampere University of Technology (TUT) and the University of Tampere (UTA). Students can get 1, 3 or 5 ECTS from the course.

The course will be held at the University of Tampere, Pinni B building (Address: Kanslerinrinne 1), lecture room  B1097 on Wednesday evenings at 18:15-19:45, starting January 15th, 2014.
