unipoli tampere: studying

There are four higher education institutions located in Tampere: Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK), Tampere University of Technology (TUT), the University of Tampere (UTA) and Police University College.

The higher education institutions (HEIs) in Tampere offer international degree programmes taught in English in a wide range of fields. The programmes available at TUT cover technology and architecture. UTA offers programmes in the fields of social sciences, media, technology, health and administrative sciences. The programmes available at TAMK cover areas from engineering, business and media to nursing.  Internationally recognised research is carried out both in collaboration between the universities and individually.

Whichever of the three Unipoli higher education institutions you choose, you can still include studies from the remaining two in your study programme. This is possible through an agreement that allows students to complete Unipoli studies across institutional boundaries.

It is not just the great variety of study programmes that makes Tampere your first choice. The location of this scenic city is brilliant for students interested in travelling. Tampere has an international airport with direct connections to many European cities. The connections within the country are just as convenient, no matter whether you are out to explore northern or eastern parts of the country. The total student population of almost 40,000 contributes to the lively, energetic and exciting atmosphere of the city.
